In this session hotel finance and IT managers will learn how the data they collect in their key systems can be combined to monitor, report and analyse how the business is performing, how this information can be delivered to users and how it can pinpoint the areas on which managers need to focus. Case study examples illustrate how dashboards, scorecards and other tools for managing information have significantly improved profitability for leading hotel groups.
Workshop 2c: Solution Builders – “Reducing Hotel Communications Costs” Our workshop will focus on how hoteliers can take advantage of recent developments in networking and IT to significantly reduce their operating costs and make significant savings on any capex projects they may be considering.
Many hotels are upgrading their broadband connections in–line with advances in the speeds available to cater for the expected increased customer demand. However, there remain issues inside the property as to the optimum infrastructure needed to support this huge growth in IP traffic.
Happily, there are solutions available for both new builds and existing hotels (where there has been little investment in the infrastructure over many years) that will ensure that keeping up with the advances in consumer technologies doesn’t need to cost the earth – and indeed will help save it!
So please join us at our Education Workshop and learn how your hotel can drive down the costs of IT and simultaneously become a greener business as well!
